Professionals with nursing training obtained abroad generally need recognition of their qualification by the responsible authority of the relevant federal state in order to work in Germany. German language skills at least at B2 level are usually required.

    • Complete the recognition procedure in the responsible federal state
    • German language skills usually from level B2
    • Possibly an adaptation course or knowledge test

    Everyday work and general conditions

Everyday work is characterised by clearly structured shift models, collectively agreed working conditions at many facilities, and a wide range of further training opportunities.
